Initiatives
Ram’s Club
Rams Club is the official fundraising arm of CIU Athletics. Our goal is to equip CIU athletes and coaches with everything they need to achieve the core values of CIU athletics: Spiritual Growth, Servant Leadership, Academic Achievement and Competitive Excellence.
Prison Initiative
The CIU Prison Initiative equips inmates to share the hope of Christ behind prison walls. Since 2007, 203 graduates have earned accredited degrees and now serve as missionaries and mentors in 21 South Carolina prisons. Over 50 have been released, with an impressive 5% recidivism rate, and 26 are pursuing higher education.
Each year, up to 15 qualified inmates are selected for this life-changing, two-year program, earning an Associate of Arts in Bible from CIU. Upon graduation, they are assigned to prisons across the state, bringing light and transformation to those behind bars.

Business & Career Development Center
The Business and Career Development Center is not just about preparing students for jobs; it’s about empowering them to transform their futures and impact the world. The BCDC provides mentorship, business readiness, and entrepreneur training that opens doors for meaningful careers. We equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools and connections to launch ventures that serve both the marketplace and their communities. By fostering connections with investors and offering unique opportunities, we help students build legacies of influence and faith-driven impact. Your support as a donor or patron will help create future leaders who not only strive for a better future, but for significance in every aspect of their work and life.
The Zwemer Center for Muslim Studies
The Zwemer Center for Muslim Studies is dedicated to fostering understanding and engagement between Christians and Muslims. Based at the Columbia International University, the center focuses on equipping individuals and communities with the tools to effectively engage in interfaith dialogue and mission. It provides resources, research, and training that emphasize the importance of cultural sensitivity and informed communication. Through academic programs, events, and publications, the Zwemer Center aims to promote mutual respect and cooperation, addressing both theological and cultural aspects of the Christian-Muslim relationship.
