Offered through our academic partner, Vox School of Discipleship, this unique program gives you the opportunity to spend a year with a distinctive blend of academic instruction, practical experience and exciting opportunities for personal growth.
Classroom Learning
Vox offers you a unique opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually, all while earning 24 fully-transferable college credits that count toward your CIU degree.
This accredited, immersive experience blends faith and learning in a way that equips you for both life and leadership. The program combines classroom learning with practical wisdom, so you’ll gain knowledge and perspective that extends far beyond traditional textbooks.
Biblical Education & Spiritual Growth
Study the Old and New Testaments, sharpen your biblical interpretation skills, and dive into topics like apologetics, evangelism, spiritual disciplines and core Christian doctrines.
Leadership & Personal Development
Learn practical leadership skills, engage in missional thinking, and develop tools for conflict resolution, communication and personal finance — all through a biblical lens.

- Experiential Learning – Get first hand exposure to careers and fields that interest you through micro-apprenticeships. From graphic design to healthcare to education, by shadowing professionals and gaining practical skills, these experiences help you discern your natural gifts and guide your future path.
- Vox Community – Whether it’s meal planning, cooking or taking on household responsibilities, you’ll gain life skills while strengthening bonds within the Vox community. You’ll also have opportunities to serve with Look Up Lodge.
- Serving Locally – By committing to weekly service projects in ministries throughout Greenville, you will deepen your understanding of ministry in its various forms.

Adventure & Service Trips
Each month, you’ll embark on a series of exciting and transformative trips that are designed to put into practice the principles and ideas you’re learning in the Vox program. These trips are more than just an escape — they are intentional opportunities designed to help you grow and apply your knowledge.
Half of these adventures take you outdoors, pushing you to step outside your comfort zone and develop both resilience and teamwork. The other half are Service Learning trips, where you’ll serve communities, gain new perspectives, and put your faith into action.
These experiences are not only challenging — they’re essential to shaping your character and deepening your skills. They help you broaden your worldview, refine your leadership abilities and strengthen your capacity to navigate the complexities of life and ministry.
